Harrison, R. Cobb are Game Captains
Oct. 9, 2009
Game captains are usually chosen on the basis of performance in the previous game. Harrison, a senior from Columbia, S.C., made seven tackles in last week's game vs. Alabama. Cobb (Alcoa, Tenn.) amassed 186 all-purpose yards vs. the Crimson Tide, including a 45-yard touchdown catch.
Three Starters Out: Coach Rich Brooks has confirmed that three starters will not make the South Carolina trip because of injury – cornerbacks Trevard Lindley (sprained ankle) and Paul Warford (quadriceps strain) and offensive tackle Justin Jeffries (strained Achilles tendon).
“Somebody once told me, ‘People don't want to hear about how you loaded the wagon, they just want the wagon loaded,'” Brooks said when asked about the injuries. “We have to load the wagon regardless of who we have loading it, so that's part of the deal. It's time to have the wagon loaded and pull it out of the depot.”
