LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Kentucky senior safety Winston Guy and senior punter Ryan Tydlacka have been named game captains for Kentucky's home opener with Central Michigan on Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium at Noon ET.

Game captains are usually chosen on the basis of performance in the previous game. Guy had perhaps the best overall game of his career for Kentucky last week, recording 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions. For his efforts, Guy was named the College Football Performance Awards Defensive Back Performer of the Week.

Tydlacka, a native of Louisville, Ky., changed the field position game in the second half for Kentucky against WKU, launching seven punts for an average of 47.1 yards, including three punts inside the WKU 10-yard line. Tydlacka was also honored by the College Football Performance Awards as honorable mention Punter of the Week.
