  • Kentucky improves to 3-0 on the season. Oklahoma falls to 3-1.
  • UK is now 3-0 all-time against Oklahoma.
  • The Wildcats are now 55-9 against schools comprising the Big 12.
  • Kentucky will be in action again Tuesday against the winner of the Washington/Virginia game. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET with the game being televised on ESPN.

Team game notes

  • The Wildcats used the starting combination of Darius Miller, Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins and Josh Harrellson for the third straight game. Kentucky is 3-0 with that starting five.
  • Terrence Jones jumped center and won the opening tip for Kentucky.
  • Darius Miller scored the game’s opening basket.
  • Doron Lamb and Eloy Vargas were the first subs off the bench for Kentucky. It was both players’ second time this season to be the first Wildcat off the bench.
  • Kentucky extended its streak of game with a three-pointer to 752 games, the third longest streak in the country.
  • UK went on a 12-4 run to close out the half and carry a 42-28 lead into halftime. The Wildcats are 3-0 when leading at the half this year.
  • Through three games this season, UK has hit 28 three-pointers, compared to 21 through the first three games last season.
  • The Wildcats had two players score in double-figures (Jones and Lamb) in the first half for the second time this year.
  • UK finished with four players in double-figures, led by Terrence Jones’ game-high 29 points, followed by Brandon Knight (13), DeAndre Liggins (12) and Doron Lamb (12).
  • Kentucky outrebounded its opponent for the third straight time this season.
  • The Wildcats shot 50% from the field for the second straight game.

Individual game notes

#3 Terrence Jones

  • Led Kentucky scoring for the second time this season.
  • Finished with season-high 29 points, tying Eric Bledsoe (29 vs. ETSU, 3/18/10) for second most points by a Wildcat freshman in school history.
  • Scored 12 first-half points, the first time this season he’s gone for double-digits in the first half.
  • Recorded his second 20-10 game this season.
  • Had three dunks, and has all seven of UK’s dunks this season.

#12 Brandon Knight

  • Has hit multiple 3-pointers in all three games this season.
  • Scored in double-figures for the third straight game.

#20 Doron Lamb

  • Tallied 10 first-half points, the second time this season he’s scored in double-figures in the first 20 minutes.  
  • Has hit multiple 3-pointers in all three games this season.
  • Scored in double-figures for the third straight game.

#34 DeAndre Liggins

  • Shot 5-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range, scoring 12 points.
  • Scored in double-digits for the second time in three games this season.
