Game One of the Fall World Series Set for Friday

LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Pitching match ups have been set for game one of the Kentucky baseball Fall World Series, slated for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

Sophomore southpaw Chris Rusin will take the mound for the Black squad to face off with the Blue team?s freshman right-hander Chris Walden. Walden, the Gatorade Player of the Year in Ohio, is a talented young arm expected to contribute early to the pitching staff.

The Black team will consist of such players as Mike Brown, Sean Coughlin, Billy Grace, and junior-college transfer Sawyer Carroll.

Collin Cowgill and Ryan Wilkes will look to lead the Blue team to victory with such talented newcomers as Neiko Johnson, Brian Spear, and Tyler Howe providing a supporting role.

Saturday will start off as a pitching match up between two highly-touted freshmen, Clint Tilford and Colby Brown. Tilford, the Player of the Year in Kentucky, will lead the Blue squad and Brown, a Rockcastle Co. product, will start it off for the Black.

Sunday?s tentative starters are southpaw Andrew Albers for the Blue and junior Greg Dombrowski for the Black.

Game times are set for 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
