Baseball Alters Midweek Rivalry Schedule with No. 3 Louisville
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky and No. 3 Louisville has rescheduled its midweek tilt at Louisville's Jim Patterson Stadium for Tuesday, April 28, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.
The first game of the UK and Louisville series was originally slated for April 8 in Louisville but heavy rains forced a postponement of the matchup. UK and Louisville were scheduled to resume the series on April 28 in Lexington but the series opener will now shift to Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville, with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.
The Tuesday matchup in Louisville will be televised live on ESPN3.com.
The UK-Louisville game in Lexington to conclude the series will now be held on May 6, with first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m. Cliff Hagan Stadium. All promotions originally scheduled for the home game will be in place, including free t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans and $1 hot dogs prior to first pitch.
Tickets purchased for the previously scheduled date (April 8) in Louisville will be honored for the new date (April 28). The purchased ticket for the April 8 game will be required for re-entry on Tuesday night. Additional tickets for Tuesday's make-up game will be on sale through the University of Louisville Ticket Office starting Friday (April 24) at 9 a.m., and can be purchased in person at the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium location or by phone at 502-852-5151.
Kentucky season-ticket holders can use their UK-Louisville game ticket for admission on May 6. Single-game tickets are also available by calling the UK Ticket Office, at 859-257-1818 or online at UKBaseballTix.com. Any tickets purchased for the April 28 game will be valid for the May 6 game in Lexington.
