EUGENE, Ore. -- Andrew Evans, a 2014 Kentucky graduate and two-time Southeastern Conference Champion, earned the United States Track and Field Championships Bronze Medal in the discus with a mark of 208-feet-10-inches/63.67 meters at the on Thursday at Oregon's Hayward Field.

Evans has yet to achieve the "A" Standard required to make the U.S. World Championships Team, this season, but he now has until August to get a mark of (213'3"/65m). Evans' 2015 season best is 209'8"/63.91m, while his personal best is better than the "A" standard: 217'9"/66.37m, which he threw last season in a UK uniform.

"I did a little more preparation today than I normally do," Evans said. "I went down in the general warm-up even though I was in the second flight to take some extra throws to erase the feeling from NCAAs last year when I didn't make finals. I got out there and took care of business in the prelims.

"The wind was challenging, but beneficial if you got it in the right spot. I hit the one, not neccesaarily the on I wanted, but it will do."

Should Evans achieve the A Standard, he would reunite with his college head coach as Edrick Floréal will lead the American Contingent at the IAAF World Championships in August.

Kentucky alum Chase Madison -- the 2008 SEC Champion -- finished seventh in the discus. The mark was 200'3"/61.04m, having come on his second throw.

Competing for the first time since setting the low-altitude 200-meter collegiate record, Dezerea Bryant advanced to the semifinals of the 100m.

Bryant advanced automatically, finishing third in heat three with a time of 11.07 (+2.1).

Keilah Tyson ran 11.37 (+2.1) for sixth place in the same prelim. She finished 24th overall and did not advance, but she's also entered in the 200m.

Dominique Booker ran a 100m personal best of 11.39 (+1.8) for seventh place in heat four of the 100m. She finished 25th.

Adriana Brown finished the junior discus in sixth place with a mark of 157'2"/47.91m. Brown is also entered in the junior shot put, scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Alumnus Andy Fryman threw 234'5"/71.47m for seventh place in the USATF hammer throw.
