WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Kentucky women's swimming and diving team will begin action at the 2010 NCAA Championships at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center on the campus of Purdue University Thursday. Five UK athletes will represent the 2010 squad at the national meet which runs for three days.

Swimmers Lindsey Graessle, Chatham Penrod, Megan Pulskamp and Kayla Sergesketter will team with diver Lisa Faulkner this week in West Lafayette, Ind. The squad will be looking to earn a top-20 finish for the third time in the last four seasons.

The swimming quartet will team together for both the 200 and 400-medley relays. Kentucky's 200-medley relay holds the 14th best time in the nation with a clip of 1:38.78.

Pulskamp will compete in three individual events. A reigning All-America honorable mention selection from her 15th place finish in the 100-butterfly in her junior season, she will once again take to the lanes in her marquee event. She will also compete in the 50 and 100-free races.

Penrod achieved NCAA `B' marks in both backstroke events. Kentucky's owner of the school record in both events, she is a three-time member of the NCAA Championship team for the Wildcats.

Graessle will be among the field in the 100-breaststroke for the third consecutive season. She holds a time of 1:02.79 in the event heading into the national competition.

Faulkner qualified for the NCAA Championships with a fifth-place finish on the three-meter board at the NCAA Zone Diving Competition held on the campus of Purdue University, on Saturday. Faulkner placed fifth overall among the 46 competitors by earning a combined mark of 627.60 in the event. The score is comprised of both her preliminary score and finals score to make the final clip. Her top-five finish gives her an automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships next week held at the same pool at Purdue. will stream both sessions of competition on Thursday and Friday, and the preliminary session on Saturday. will stream the finals live on Saturday. Additionally, ESPN2 will air a 90-minute show at 1:30 p.m. ET, Tues., April 6.

Preliminary heats will begin each day at 11:00 a.m., while the finals that night will start at 7:00 p.m.
