No. 7 UK Rifle Travels to No. 5 Murray State on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky.  – Kentucky will hit the road for the second consecutive week to take on fifth-ranked Murray State on Saturday.

The match will begin at 8 a.m., and live scoring will be available at goracers.com.

“This will be an early test for us,” UK head coach Harry Mullins said. “Murray State is a strong and hungry team. They have been idle for the last week.

“If we stay focused on what we have been working on we should see some good results. The team has been working hard this week and our younger shooters want to get back on the road and test themselves again.”

Kentucky opened the season with a 4666-4618 win over No. 16 Akron last weekend. Multiple freshmen made strong contributions in their UK debuts with Hannah Carr leading the way in both air rifle and smallbore.

Kentucky’s home opener will come on Saturday, Oct. 24.
