Meet the Wildcats: Tiara Phipps

LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features senior Tiara Phipps.

Tiara Phipps, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, enters 2016 after competing in every meet on floor for the Wildcats, and in vault for five meets. Last season she scored a season-high of 9.875 on both vault and floor vs. Auburn on March 6th, as well as a career best 9.875 on vault. The following week she posted a team-high 9.850 on vault. Tiara was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third consecutive season with the Wildcats.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at a time still to be determined. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
