Meet the Wildcats: Molly Penner

LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features freshman Molly Penner.

Molly comes to the University of Kentucky after having competed for the Nebraska School of Gymnastics under the guidance of head coach Beth Miller. While competing for NSG, Penner qualified for state and regional meets in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011. Her top performances include a 3rd place finish on beam at the Chicago Style Invitational, 2nd in all-around at Meet-Me in St. Louis, a 1st place finish at the Chows Rising Stars Invitational and a 3rd place finish in all-around at the Nebraska State Championship in 2014.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
