Delaney Hogan Announces Transfer to Kentucky Volleyball
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Craig Skinner and the Kentucky Volleyball program announced the incoming transfer of Delaney Hogan to the program Friday morning, joining as a fifth-year senior from Xavier University.
Hogan is a three-time All-Big East Conference Team selection, including in her freshman campaign, where she was named the 2021 Big East Freshman of the Year with the Musketeers. In 2023, she played in and started all 30 matches for Xavier, served as a team captain and for the second-straight year was named to the all-conference team by the league’s head coaches.
“Delaney’s experience and success as a Big East performer will be a considerable addition to our team for 2024,” UK head coach Craig Skinner said. “Delaney has been very active in the middle position since being named Big East Freshman of the year during the 2020 season. Her consistent production has been amazing during her whole career, and we look for more of that here at Kentucky as graduate transfer.”
Hogan is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she attended Bishop Dwenger High School and then proceeded from there straight to Cincinnati to play for Xavier. She is a middle blocker, who this past season averaged 2.57 kills per set and registered just under a block per set, logging 79 blocks on the year. She for her career averaged 2.46 kills per set, as she had an extremely consistent statistical career, with over 2.38 kills per set all four years at XU.
