EUGENE, Ore. – Dezerea Bryant made the final in the 100-meter dash at the 2015 United States Track and Field Championships on Friday at Oregon’s Hayward Field. She finished eighth with a time of 11.08, and she will come back for the 200m dash on Saturday.

Bryant ran 11.00 in the semifinal, which was a wind-legal lifetime best, although she’s broken 11 seconds numerous times with winds at her back faster than 2.0 meters/second.

Jacklyn Howell claimed the Silver Medal in the U.S. Junior 100m hurdles, qualifying for the Junior Pan American Games with a time of 13.25 (+2.6). USC’s Dior Hall – who set the world-junior record at the NCAA Championships two weeks ago – won in 13.21. The 2015 Junior Pan American Games will be held Jul. 31 – Aug. 2 in Edmonton, Canada.

Kendra Harrison – who entered the meet ranked No. 2 in the world and U.S. in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles — won heat one of the 100m hurdles prelims to advance to Saturday’s semifinals. Her time of 13.34, which was an all-conditions lifetime best: 12.46w (+2.3), was the second fastest of the day (behind Sharika Nelvis who ran a Hayward Field and world-leading time of 13.34 (+1.9).

Harrison elected not to run the 400m hurdles.

Leah Nugent advanced automatically to the 400m hurdles semifinal running 56.65 for second place in heat two. Her time was the eighth fastest from the preliminary heats.

Adriana Brown just missed a spot on the Junior PanAm Games team, finishing fourth in the junior shot put with a mark of 49-feet,11-inches/15.21 meters.

Saturday’s track events featuring Wildcats include the 200m prelims, semifinals in both hurdles events, and Sha’Keela Saunders and Kenyattia Hackworth in the long jump.
