Matt Vogel serves as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach, working directly with men and women's tennis, men and women's diving, and women's cheerleading. He also assists with women's basketball, men's cheerleading, and baseball.

Vogel comes to UK after 2 years of professional experience in the health and fitness industry. He previously served as the General Manager of Wildcat Fitness in Lexington and started a personal training department in the process. As General Manager, he was responsible for the management and hiring of personal trainers and employees, purchasing of new equipment, training athletes in improving sport performance, and new business development. Prior to this, he served as the Director of the Post Rehab Exercise Program (PREP) and Director of Customer Satisfaction at Body Structure Medical Fitness in Lexington, where he was responsible for transitioning post-rehab patients by implementing exercise programs as well as being responsible for all in-house marketing and sales. He was also worked with clients of his own, helping them in areas ranging from weight loss to improving sports performance.

Vogel is a native of Lexington, KY and graduated from Transylvania University in 2008, earning a bachelor's degree in both Exercise Science and Business Administration. During his time there, he was a member of the men's soccer team where he earned All-America honors and was named Transylvania's Male Athlete of the Year. In the offseason, he worked at the High Intensity Training Center as an intern and trained the Lexington Horseman football team for 2 years. He also lettered for the University of Kentucky's men's soccer team in 2004.

Vogel is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a nationally licensed soccer coach by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
