Assistant Strength Coach
Works directly with M/W Soccer, M/W Sprinters, Men's Tennis
Spurlock was hired as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in August 2009. He previously held the position of Graduate Assistant in the UK Strength & Conditioning Department. As a Graduate Assistant, he worked directly with MTEN, WTEN and Cheerleading. He also assisted with VB, WBB, SB, SWIM, M/W SOC,and M/W SPRT. Spurlock came to UK from the University of Dayton where he served as an intern on the student-assistantship grant from the National Strength & Conditioning Association. There he worked with MTEN, WTEN, CREW. Prior to his experience at UD he was a volunteer at Duke University where he worked with MTN, SWIM, DIVE. Prior to Duke, he was a strength intern at Hanover College where he assisted with FB.

Earned his bachelor's of arts degree in physical education (2005) from Hanover College and his master's of science degree in exercise physiology (2010)from UK. Competes in Olympic weightlifting. Played wide receiver on the Hanover College FB team (2001-2005). Currently resides with his wife, Jordan, in Georgetown, KY.
