University of Kentucky officials have produced the following video to aid/assist guests with their first-class game day experience.
For security reasons, all items are subject to search. Backpacks and large bags are prohibited. Guests may enter Commonwealth Stadium with one (1) small bag, no larger than 13.5" x 10" x 7". Bags must fit within sizing bins at all entrance gates. Arrive early and bring as few personal items as possible.
Gates 4, 9, and 12 open two hours prior to kickoff. All other gates (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 15, 16) open 1.5 before kickoff. Gates 7 and 14 are not available for general public entry.
The University of Kentucky is in the midst of unparalleled growth from a facility construction standpoint. As such, be advised of two traffic changes effecting Woodland Avenue and Cooperstown Drive.
Woodland Avenue is closed to one lane from Columbia Avenue to Rose Lane. Northbound traffic will be rerouted into the southbound lane. Traffic traveling south on Woodland Avenue will be detoured onto Rose Lane to Rose Street to Columbia and back to Woodland Avenue.
Cooperstown Drive from Sportscenter Drive to Woodland Avenue will be open pre-game and post-game. Non-permitted gameday traffic west bound on Cooper Drive will be directed north on Sportscenter Drive to park in Parking Structure #7 or exit the complex via Cooperstown Drive.
Credential Entry Process
Upon initial (first-time) entry into Commonwealth Stadium, all credentialed personnel must enter through one of four (4) Service Gates (NE, NW, SE, SW), where they will be required to show a picture ID and receive a wristband. After initial entry, credentialed personnel may re-enter any gate by displaying credential and wristband.
A limited number of grass spaces are available to student groups in the northwest quadrant of Cooper Drive. Students wishing to reserve a tailgating space along Cooper Drive must reserve a space through the Student Center Directors Office by Noon on Wednesday of football game weeks.
