Fans are encouraged to make an early entry to Commonwealth Stadium for all games. Long lines develop at some stadium gates just prior to kickoff, spectators can ease congestion by entering earlier.

Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited with the exception of service animals. Service animals are welcome inside Commonwealth Stadium but must remain on a leash or harness at all times.  If you intend to bring a service animal to the stadium, please notify your ticket representative at the time of purchase so that an aisle seat may be reserved for you.


Located next to the public elevator doors inside Gates 1 & 9. ATM and credit cards are now accepted at most concession stands and merchandise locations.


Guests with minor automobile problems (jumpstart, flat tire, etc.) can seek game day assistance from AAA at (859) 255.7600


Each person is allowed one bag, not to exceed 13.5" by 10" by 7" in size and will be subject to a security check.  For security purposes, continuing in 2014, backpacks will not be permitted in Commonwealth Stadium; purses, small handbags, etc. will be permitted.  Bags and purses are subject to inspection by UK Athletics personnel prior to entrance to the stadium or at any time while inside the facility.


Signs must be approved by UK Athletics prior to an event.  Banners should in no way infringe on the sightlines of other Commonwealth Stadium Guests. Signs may not be hung or fastened anywhere in the arena. Small signs should not be commercial or obscene in nature or cause any disturbance with other spectators. UK Athletics reserves the right to remove any banner or sign without exception.


Cell phones, tablets and laptops are currently allowed in the arena as long as their use does not interfere with the other guest’s enjoyment of the event.  No devices can be plugged into the buildings electrical outlets.


The Cat Walk begins 2 hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff at the corner of Jerry Claiborne Way and College Way in front of Nutter Field House, on the northeast corner of the stadium. The student-athletes will walk down the hill and enter the stadium at Gate 1. PDF Map of the Cat Walk Route


Personal chair backs are permitted as long as they are 18" or smaller in width.

Chair backs may also be rented on a game-by-game basis for $7 at Commonwealth Stadium. Quantities are limited and are only available while supplies last. Sales will begin when gates open, and end when sold out or at the end of the first quarter. They are available at the upper and lower concourses at Gates 4, 9 & 12.


Various specialty concessions are available throughout Commonwealth Stadium. ATM and credit cards are now accepted at most concession stands.


In order to keep Kentucky Football games as enjoyable as possible for all, the University of Kentucky asks that all patrons respect those around them. The University of Kentucky reserves the right to remove any individual from Commonwealth Stadium who displays conduct that may endanger or disrupt players, coaches, officials or other patrons. No refunds are given in such cases.


Baby changing tables are available in all public and family restrooms in Commonwealth Stadium.

  • Non-reserved disabled lot located at the corner of University Drive and Farm Road - first-come, first-served. $30 per vehicle.
  • Shuttle: Begins two hours before kickoff. Drop off point is Gate 9. Return shuttles begin during 3rd quarter and continue until 30 minutes after the end of the game.
  • Disabled guest golf cart available from Gate 9 to any other gate.
  • Guest Services booths are available to address any questions or concerns you may have, and are available in the following locations:
    • Inside Gate 11 on the south side of the stadium
    • Inside Gate 3 on the north side of the stadium
    • Inside Gate 6 on the west side of the stadium
    • Inside Gate 12 on the southeast side of the stadium
    • Two exterior locations; outside of gates 1 and 9
    • Two upper concourse locations; behind north side section 210 and behind section 225

In the case of an emergency, please follow the instructions of any game day staff member and proceed to the nearest exit in a calm and safe manner.  Guests should use the stairs and ramps as a means of evacuation.  Elevators and escalators may not be working at the time.


There is a family restroom located on the Upper Concourse near the Gate 1 elevator and on the upper concourse near the Gate 9 elevator.

Public access to the playing field is strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to arrest and prosecution.


In the interest of safety for all guests, pedestrians, etc. continuing in 2014, guests’ golf cart use will be prohibited on the Commonwealth Stadium Complex to include all parking lots, sidewalks, streets, etc.  This policy includes motorized scooters, coolers, mopeds etc.  Guests are asked not to bring golf carts to the complex.


University of Kentucky Athletics strives to ensure a positive game day experience for all fans. While inside Commonwealth Stadium, Guest Service Desks are available to assist you with questions or concerns you may have while attending a game. They are located inside on the lower level Gates 3, 6, 11 and 15, on the upper level near section 210 and 225 and outside gates 1 and 9. Interior Guest Services locations open two hours prior when gates open and remain open until the facility is clear of all patrons.   Exterior Guest Services locations open 5 hours prior to the event start.

Guest Service locations inside Commonwealth Stadium provide:

    • Brochures containing maps, diagrams, and other important game day information
    • Assistance with location of seats, restrooms, ATM’s, and other areas of Commonwealth Stadium
    • Lost-child wristbands – parents may wristband their children and register contact information with guest services to facilitate a quick recovery of lost children, should the situation arise.
    • …and any other questions or concerns you may have regarding your game day experience.

Guest Services staff including ushers, ticket takers and security is available to assist patrons throughout the duration of the event.


During the game, items will be taken to Police Assistance between ramps 107 & 108 (spectators can also drop off any items found here as well). Postgame, items can be claimed by calling the UK Police Department at (859) 257.1616.


Pets, with the exception for service dogs, are prohibited from entering Commonwealth Stadium and surrounding parking lots/tailgating areas.

Official game programs are available prior to kick-off at all program stands throughout the concourse. Program stands are located at gates 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 15. Programs are also available during and after the game at all Nike Team Shop locations on the lower concourse.

To ensure the safety of all guests and participants, the throwing of any objects is strictly prohibited.  Guests identified throwing any objects are subject to ejection and potential prosecution.


As per SEC policy, guests are not permitted to exit and re-enter Commonwealth Stadium.


Selling tickets in excess of face value is illegal in the state of Kentucky and tickets may not be sold in the immediate vicinity of the ticket office.


For security reasons, all items are subject to search. Backpacks and large bags are prohibited. Guests may enter Commonwealth Stadium with one (1) small bag, no larger than 13.5" x 10" x 7". Bags must fit within sizing bins at all entrance gates. Arrive early and bring as few personal items as possible.

The use of all tobacco products is prohibited inside and outside on University of Kentucky’s campus, including Commonwealth Stadium and surrounding parking lots.


Standing or stepping on stadium seats may lead to serious bodily injury.  UK Athletics requests, for your safety and other stadium guests, that you do not step, stand or use seats in a manner other than intended at Commonwealth Stadium.


UK Athletics strives to aid and advance sustainability efforts, in both the UK Campus and Lexington communities, through recycling initiatives. We encourage every UK fan to be an active participant in this important initiative both in the parking lots and inside Commonwealth Stadium.

Please take a complimentary recycling bag at your parking lot entrance, once the bag is full place it beside your car where it will be picked up post-game.


Strollers may be brought into Commonwealth Stadium, provided they are a small collapsible style that can fit under a stadium seat/row without restricting ingress/egress. Strollers are subject to search upon entering Commonwealth Stadium.

  • All Parking lots open at 8:00 AM on game day.
  • Tailgates must take place at the back vehicles.
  • Large industrial-size cookers must be approved by UK Athletics prior to game day.
  • Portable generators must be approved by UK Athletics for use and must have a decibel rating of 60DB or less.
  • Open flames are not permitted without prior authorization from the University Fire Marshal's office. At least one (1) five pound all-purpose fire extinguisher (ABC) must be provided by the applicant. Cooking is not permitted within tent without prior authorization of the University Fire Marshal. Charcoal and other flammables must be properly extinguished and disposed of and cannot be placed in any dumpster or trash can
  • Banners and signage recognizing businesses may not be posted on Commonwealth Stadium property unless approved by UK Athletics.
  • Caterers must have proper parking permits to be admitted in any lots.
  • No parking is allowed on any green space between the Green, Red, and Blue lots.
  • Music should be confined to your tailgate area. Any use of live bands or a DJ must be approved by UK Athletics prior to game day.
  • Tents erected on green space may be no larger than 10'X 10', unless otherwise approved by UK Athletics
  • Tents may not be erected in parking spaces unless they too have a permit
  • Fans using a tent or canopy over the tailgate of a vehicle should keep the travel lanes open for vehicular traffic.
  • UK is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Do not leave valuables unattended. University Police officers are on patrol, but they are not responsible for your site.

  • A limited number of grass spaces are available to student groups along Cooper Drive on a reserved basis. If students wish to reserve a tailgating space along Cooper Drive they must contact the Student Center Directors Office by Wednesday of game weeks.
  • Admission: All persons entering the stadium, regardless of age, must have a reserved ticket, credential, or worker's badge.
  • Pass outs: Pass outs are not available at Commonwealth Stadium, per Southeastern Conference regulations.
  • Resale: Selling tickets in excess of face value is illegal in Kentucky. No tickets may be sold in the immediate vicinity of the ticket office.

Umbrellas may be brought to the stadium but may not be opened in the seating areas.


Guests are permitted to enter with one unopened bottle of water smaller than a liter through the entry gates at Commonwealth Stadium.


An area with interactive games and activities is located between the Red and Blue lots outside of Gate 9. Activities start 2 hours before kickoff.
