The University of Kentucky men's golf team hosted their third annual alumni outing on Sunday, Jan. 20 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. at the Old Palm Golf Club. The match is their only round of live play before their spring season gets underway Feb. 18-19 in Mobile, Ala., at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.

KSRcollege.com's Ben Ward stopped by earlier this week to discuss the upcoming season with UK head coach Brian Craig. With the addition of European transfer Ben Stow, Craig has high hopes for the 2013 campaign.

"I feel like with the addition of Ben Stow in the lineup we got a lot more firepower and you know what, I'm not saying we are the odds on favorite [to win the SEC title], but we could do it. Beyond that I feel like this team is capable of making a run deep into the postseason," UK head coach Brian Craig told me yesterday morning. I like the sound of that, don't you?
